This free play school is a new step towards transforming Indian education. Avasar has always believed that, “Ability is nothing without opportunity,” the play school expresses this belief. Indian government education is provided to children starting from the first grade. Government schools don’t have a comprehensive pre-school system in place. Children who begin their education at six therefore lose out. Private pre-school education costs of one year on an average can come up to Rs. 45,000 per student, Avasar is trying to bridge this gap in the Indian education system through its Play school.

“The Avasar Play School bridges an important gap we notice in early childhood education, especially for the underprivileged families who cannot afford sending their wards to expensive private play schools. This is a pilot project and more such play schools will come up in neighbouring government schools from the next academic year based on the Corporate Sponsorship we are able to mobilise” – Mr. Anand Chaturvedi, Managing Trustee and Founder of Avasar Foundation

Refurbished at a cost of about Rs. 8 Lacs, the State of Art Play School will be managed by The Avasar Foundation – the Implementation Agency for Expeditors.  The school is equipped to handle 40 Students, to begin with. Two teachers and a caretaker has been appointed to manage the school.   Admissions and education at the playschool will be completely free of cost and will be purely on first come first served basis.
